Practically everyone has a toolkit, in the sense of a set of tools that can be used to fix things or do simple repairs around the home or office. While these vary in size and sophistication, the basic intent is the same -- have a set of tools that might fix most of what goes wrong around the home or workplace.

For this month's assignment, make a photo of a tool from your toolkit and identify the tool in your photographer's comment. This could be a still life, or you might want to engage the help of a model using the tool. You can show it in a number of ways, but the tool must be prominent in the photo. Note that toolkit in a much broader sense, as a set of things/objects that are used to achieve a goal, is not what we are talking about here.

To qualify for this month's assignment,
  • Submit a photo of a tool from your toolkit
  • Name the tool in your photographer's comment
If you have a story to go with the photo that you want to share with us, put it in the comment area below the critiques.

If you have any questions, email an admin. If your photo is deemed to not meet our assignment criteria and hence removed, please accept our decision graciously. Our decisions are not subjects for debate, so if you are not sure, ask first. To include your entry in the assignment, just check off the box that says 2011 11 ~ In the toolkit. You can view previous assignments here. You may submit as many photos as you like into the assignment. Good luck!
