Assignment: 2008 07 ~ Use These Settings

Submit a new photo

This assignment is based on a suggestion from baba/David, who suggested "forcing" people to use selected camera settings. Obviously, we can't force you to do anything; David knows this, and put the quotes around "force" in his suggestion. But we can remove (delete) your photo if it is obviously not following the rules of the assignment, and you will get lots of bad karma besides. Your digital photos will have noise, your negative strips will curl the wrong way, and mysterious shapes will appear in the wrong places in your prints. So follow these rules.

Shoot a photo using f/5.6 and 1/125. Any subject, any locale, any lighting, any accessories, just use that aperture and speed. And identify your photo as shot with those settings in your photo comments. Sorry, automatic camera users, you can't do this except by luck; of course if you manage to get the shot at these settings, submit it. Next month's assignment is one everyone can participate in.

To qualify for this month's assignment,
the photo can have practically any subject or be in any genre, but
it must be shot using f/5.6 and 1/125 speed, and
your photographer's comment must identify the photo as part of the assignment by the words/symbols "shot at f/5.6 and 1/125"

If you have a story to go with the photo that you want to share with us, put it in your photographer's comment or a comment below the critiques.

If you have any questions, email an admin. If your photo is deemed to not meet our assignment criteria and hence removed, please accept our decision graciously. Our decisions are not subjects for debate, so if you are not sure, ask first. To enter your photo into the assignment, just check off the box that says 2008 07 ~ Use These Settings.
