Of course you do, but you have no right to express it in any form on photoSIG. You may express your opinion respectfully on any matter in the forums, in comments, in replies, and in critiques. You may not use the unhelpful rating to (With two notable exceptions, critiques must be about the photo, not the other critiques and photoSIG does not provide a venue for your partisan political/religious opinions.)
However having an opinion does not allow you to use the photo rating system to express your opinion in any manner you wish. For instance it may be your opinion that all photos of nude men are offensive, while you may hold that opinion you may not use the rating system to give three thumbs down to every photo of a nude man. Now substitute nude man for HDR, birds, Fractilius, genitalia, American flags, etc. etc. If administrators feel you are using the photo rating system inappropriately you may be asked to change your rating or in some cases your critique may be removed. We're not asking you to change your opinion, we're asking you to use the rating system appropriately.
The same goes for rating critiques. You may not use the critique rating system outside of the site guidelines. You may find a critique unhelpful, however if it does not meet photoSIG's guidelines for unhelpful you may be asked to remove your unhelpful rating. We're not asking you to change your opinion on the helpfulness or unhelpfulness of a critique, we're asking you to follow the guidelines for the use of the critique rating.
