Hi everyone, I've begun offering classic pinup portraits through my studio and will be using models from Model Mayhem to build my portfolio to .show my potential clients.this will be done on a trade for Cd basis. Some of the models list their ages as 19-20 years old.the question I have is should I require proof of age with all of the models before we shoot to verify that all are at least 18 years old. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.....Eric

Absolutely! The cost of a mistake is dire.

You need to seek legal advice. The age of majority is different depending on where you live and what the circumstance is. You will need proof of age. And remember, minors cannot enter into contracts, and the law almost always favours minors.

Should I require a proof of age??

Unless you want to dare to spen lots of money (lawyers)or time (prison). I'd do every single time.

When you do the model release just ask for a drivers license and copy the address and birth date from there.
