I've posted before about our local volcano, Mt Sakurajima. Todays news showed just how active it has been this year. Over 400 "minor" explosive eruptions to date this year. I guess the "minor" part is that it is just large plumes of ash rather than lava and rocks. On a happier note, we are buying land 20km away (meaning we'll get less ash) and should be putting up a house within the next 6 or 8 months. Read 106 times
