OK guys, here's the lowdown:
I have taken some photos of students at my school as we are leaving school this year. People want to be able to buy prints, but I don't want the admin hassle of printing/taking money for them etc. I would like them online (they are on my website as it is, but heavily watermarked) in a way which they can be purchased by the students, and I get a cut of the sales. I would like to use Photobox, and have an account, but it would seem that when the photos are uploaded, they do not place a watermark on them, so, knowing what children of today are like, they will steal the photographs, and print them themselves. This I do not want. I can see no way of uploading a watermarked version without it being the one which P/Box print.
Can anyone help me out on this - I do not want to pay a subscription fee due to the fact that the "shop" will only be needed for upto 3months.
Please could you advise on this ASAP?
Cheers,
Sam
P.S. I forgot to say, if you don't know, I'm based in the UK.

The photos are only available at a very small size at 72dpi. They would make about a 2x1-inch print!

Thanks for the reply, Ben.
I appreciate this, but these people are non-discerning, rather irritating cheapskates, to be honest. They are the sort of people who use a webcam type camera, at 640x480 with no flash, indoors, then blow it up to A4. Says it all, I think...
I am trying to make it so that they will view a watermarked image but when printed it will be not watermarked.
Cheers,
Sam

You might consider offering a CD of all images. If you post your photos online, there is no way to prevent theft.

Send me a CD or DVD of the hi-res images. I'll create a gallery (with watermarked images and optional password protection) for you. You advertise it on my site and I take care of all sales, customer relations and print fulfillment. There is no cost to do this.
This works on a 70/30 commission basis (you get 70% of the profit).
You can remove the gallery at any time.
In case anyone feels I may be ripping people off and not being honest about sales, I've got 26 photographers working on this scheme all over the UK at present and they are perfectly happy. Further details about this can be found in the Associate Photographers section at Kazam Media.
If, for some bizare reason (given that Photobox is already being promoted above), this reply breaks any of the forums rules, then please delete it.

Thanks for the reply, Richard.
For now I am sorted, but I will definitely keep you in mind for any future similar jobs. At the moment, your solution would be impractical due to the huge time constraints - if only you'd posted three weeks ago.
Ah well, hope it continues to be successful,
Sam

No problem Sam. With regard to time, we can also use ftp to get the images to us, the album is generated within 10 minutes and can also be uploaded within 10 minutes!
